"I reserve the west side of my lot called the Little Orchard

to be appropriated for a burial ground for me and my children

and my children's children forever..."

... Samuel Platt, 1812

Platt Burial Ground is a small, fairly unremarkable family cemetery located on the Post Road (Route 1) in Westport, Connecticut. It is overwhelmed by strip malls on either side, on Westport's busiest street. The few graves contained therein belong mainly to members of the Platt, Bradley and Hyatt families. Most graves date to the mid- and late 1800s.
